The Black Keys

Last Friday night, my sister and I as well as a bunch of her friends went to the Black Keys concert at Halle Tony Garnier. It was our first concert and it was amazing. For the most part we were sitting now at the seats near the back of the hall but during the first and last 15 minutes we were standing along with what seemed like half of Lyon.

Took a quick snap of the ticket while waiting to buy some merch

Unfortunately, for the first half of their set I took mostly videos and I'm not as tech savvy as I'd like to believe. When we decided to join everyone on the floor it was near the end- not that we were complaining, we got there in time to jam to 'Lonely Boy.'

The 'end'

Luckily for us, The Black Keys are sneaky little devils and as they walked off the stage disco balls descended from the ceilings before they walked back on to sing 'Lonely Boy', 'Everlasting Light' and another song, I can't remember what it was called.

My favourite picture from the concert.

Definitely the best first concert experience! The concert made me fall more in love with them. They sound just like their album/s. And if you don't know them, I recommend listening to their new album El Camino (my favourite album). Even if you aren't such a big fan of rock (they're more of an indie rock actually), their songs are so catchy and just perfect.

It was perfect.

Autumn leaves

This is basically an autumn appreciation post. I'm not sure if you can tell but I really like fall and this city is so so beautiful right now.

I thought today was the perfect skirts(dress)/tights day, so I sneaked over to my sisters closet to ~borrow~ some stuff. This dress makes me think of Lana Del Rey and because I'm sort of in love with her right now, I really don't mind looking like her just a little bit. (Also, this is technically  my dress because I paid for it even though it's in my sisters' closet.)

It's not very clear but the coat/jacket is camo. I'm not usually a big fan of camo but I think it works, and the faux fur is so very lush.

Princess of the Tropics

First off, the dress that's inspired the the blog; super flow-y printed maxi dress my sister bought 2 years ago. It reminds me of our family vacations by the beach that usually consists of salty hair, salty air and sand everywhere. ( I'm also originally from a tropical country, so I figured it'd be appropriate.)

I added the leather jacket because it's beginning to get pretty cold where I live and because the manly tough guy vibe it gives off offsets the fact this dress is so very girly.
